The foundational goal of the IconX System was to develop a shear connector to make insulated wall panels longer, stronger, and stiffer than previously available. It was also important for the connector to work with any rigid insulation in panels reinforced with mesh or rebar. Due to the composite action that the IconX Shear Connector facilitates between the wythes of concrete, the total concrete thickness can be reduced by 3 to 4 inches over conventional non-composite panel design, saving you material costs and potentially reducing your crane size and footing and foundation sizes.
