Rick Galloway, GCQA, serves as Executive Vice President of Martin Concrete Construction, based in Atlanta, and brings over 26 years of dedicated experience in tilt-up concrete construction. A 1996 graduate of Auburn University’s McWhorter School of Building Science, Rick’s passion for tilt-up began with a college research paper on the method and quickly deepened through early field experience with Vratsinas Construction Company. He joined Martin Concrete in 1998 and has held numerous roles across the organization, including helping to establish the company’s Nashville office in 2014. Rick has managed tilt-up projects across a broad range of sectors, including manufacturing, logistics, class A office, institutional, food and beverage, retail, medical, aviation, and film. A strong advocate for tilt-up as an economical, structurally efficient, and architecturally expressive system, Rick has presented AIA-certified continuing education sessions to design and construction professionals, guest lectured at Auburn University, and served as a featured speaker for the Alabama Concrete Industries Association. He is a past president and current Executive Board member of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association, an industry adviser to Auburn’s Building Science and Construction program, and President of the Georgia Chapter of the American Concrete Institute. Outside of work, he enjoys running, hiking, biking, reading, and music, and is a proud husband of 26 years and father of five children.
