This talk centers around the success Martin Concrete Construction has had with a bottom-up approach to safety culture. Specifically, this talk will discuss the benefits of hiring bilingual staff and how that practice has enhanced culture and communication. Additionally, we will review safety program tools such as our safety committee, toolbox meetings, upper management jobsite visits, and monthly jobsite safety audits employed to develop this culture. Finally, we will discuss how these efforts and achievements have helped build an award-winning safety program at Martin Concrete.
