Explore revolutionary materials and construction methodologies that are setting new standards in the industry. This session will introduce participants to the latest developments such as High-Density Gypsum, the resilience of GFRP Rebar, and novel approaches like slabless construction. Attendees will discover how these advances are making construction practices more efficient and robust, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in modern building.
High-Density Gypsum’s Role in Next-Gen Construction: Join Mohsen Zehtabchian, Co-Founder and COO of Amatec, as he introduces High-Density Gypsum (HDG), a groundbreaking material set to transform the PreFab industry. This presentation will illuminate HDG’s development journey, its advantages over traditional gypsum, and its capacity to potentially replace Ordinary Portland Cement in a myriad of applications. Mohsen will navigate through the history, the technological advances, and the current challenges faced by HDG, highlighting its environmental benefits and the untapped potential it holds for the future of construction. Get ready for a deep dive into how HDG could reshape our approach to building materials, making for a more sustainable and efficient construction landscape.
The Resilience and Longevity of GFRP Rebar in Sustainable Construction Solutions: In an era where sustainability takes center stage, construction materials play a pivotal role in shaping resilient and eco-friendly infrastructure. This presentation delves into the revolutionary realm of Glass Fiber Reinforced Polymer (GFRP) Rebar, exploring its exceptional resilience and enduring longevity in sustainable construction solutions. Through a comprehensive examination of GFRP's mechanical properties, corrosion resistance, and environmental impact, this presentation will shed light on how GFRP Rebar is redefining the norms of reinforcement, offering a compelling narrative for its integration into the fabric of modern, sustainable construction practices.
The Future of Insulated Walls: Insulated walls have been built using tilt-up construction for many years. Insulated wall technology and engineering are changing rapidly, and early adopters have reaped benefits, but the engineering has taken some time to catch up. Recent engineering advances may allow larger cost savings but will take some time to penetrate the engineering community and the code. This presentation will describe the next generation of insulated walls and their engineering to a general audience. Future iterations of insulated walls will take advantage of several ongoing research threads to gain market share and provide solutions across the country.
Slabless Tilt-Up Construction: InnovaCast™ revolutionizes concrete wall construction by bringing the best solutions of tilt-up & precast practices. By casting in a modular vertical unit on-site, the system eliminates the need for SOG and casting beds, greatly reducing costs and accelerating schedules. Additionally, the system frees up valuable real estate for other trades at the footprint of the building, normally unavailable during tilt-wall construction.
