Redi Carpet, which specializes in supplying and installing flooring for the apartment sector, was founded in 1981 on a promise of next-day installation. The company grew to become one of the largest multi-family residential flooring providers in the country, providing the industry with extraordinary customer services, creative marketing, and innovative, value-added products.
So when it came time to choose a building type for their new national headquarters, Redi Carpet chose to utilize tilt-up construction due to the durability of the exterior, the ability to incorporate different achitectural finishes as well as the economic viability of tilt-up. After interviewing the Rosenberger Construction team, Redi Carpet leadership knew they had found the right team for the job. By utilizing tilt-up construction the architectural team was able to utilize a formliner that simulated a stacked wood type look at the main two story entry feature to compliment the wood beam ceilings inside in the lobby.
The headquarters includes 45,000 square feet of two-story office space and 55,000 square feet of warehouse and manufacturing space. Maximizing efficiency in the warehouse space, Rosenberger installed a Hydrofit machine room-less elevator. The 30-foot clear height warehouse space, permitted for high pile storage, contains an ESFR fire sprinkler system. Without compromising innovative design or quality construction, Rosenberger knew they were on a strict timeline. Redi Carpet had to be out of their current lease by May, so Rosenberger proactively communicated with the permit office and fire marshal’s office to achieve occupancy as quickly as possible. The sleek new building was ready by May, and Redi Carpet stepped into the luxury of their new national headquarters.
