The Goodman Eastvale Commerce Center sits on 124.1 acres and is comprised of ten-buildings, totaling 2,598,247 s.f., of multi-use concrete tilt-up product. The two largest facilities within the center span 1 million-square-feet and are used for E-Commerce fulfillment. The largest building, (Building 1) contains 4 levels, and 1.7 million-square-feet of corrugated metal decking filled with 7.5# fiber reinforced concrete and welded wire reinforcement.
In addition, the center also includes a 374,000 s.f spec warehouse, a business park with seven multi-use, distribution, and retail store-front buildings totaling 179,000 s.f., a pedestrian tilt-up bridge, and 4.7 acres of surface parking. The pedestrian bridge features two elevator shafts and is supported structurally, by two 110’ long by 57” tall girders connecting the commerce center to the surface parking lot. An astonishing 1,7 million-square-feet of combined concrete paving was completed for truck docks and auto parking throughout the site. The whole project was delivered within an accelerated timeframe, taking 29 months, 163,422 man-hours and over 181,151 cubic yards to construct.
200 acres of on- and off-site work was also required including construction of Goodman Road, and widening and improvements on Hamner, Bellegrave Ave., and Cantu-Galleano. The project is surrounded by different county lines and required coordination with the cities of Eastvale and Ontario, as well as CalTrans, SCE, and The Gas Company. Additional infrastructure work included 3,200 ft. of industrial sewer, 6.1-acre detention basin/bioswales, curb and gutter, street lighting, signalization, 4,000 ft of 60” RCP storm drain, and median and perimeter landscaping.
