The Panattoni and RMW team also are winners in the Office category with two high-tech buildings at the Santa Rosa Airport Corporate Center for Agilent Technologies.
To meet exploding demand for its telecommunications products, Agilent needed a new manufacturing campus - a challenge solved in only 11 months through Tilt-Up. Two speculative office buildings, 54,000 and 64,000-square feet in size, already designed for generic office space, were converted to office tech use with higher floor-to-floor heights.
The building facade is a rhythm of graphic bands, pilasters, lintels and sill panels to provide relief along the long elevations. Freestanding vertical panels delineate the building entries and a long parapet adds style to the otherwise rectangular form. Sculpted foam profiles were applied to various locations to add further relief.
