Project Southern - GE Appliances

Project Southern, also known as the GE Appliance Logistic Center, is located in Crandall, Georgia. This logistic center is a mile south of the Appalachian Port and will handle rail logistics to various ports in the surrounding states. The new GE facility is an example of growth and innovation in north Georgia. This is the first of many logistics and transportation related projects that will come to the area. Martin Concrete teamed up with Evans General Contractors to build this massive 504,400 sf building. MC Ready Mix, Martin Concrete's ready mix division, set up a portable plant onsite to help assist in concrete production. There was 433,382 sf of concrete paving with straight cement, 504,400 sf of slab on grade - tolerances included FF 35 / FL 25, and 130,920 sf of concrete tilt panels used to help create this new facility.
