This Mediterranean design building offers 17 separate soundproofed banquet rooms, the largest accommodating 1800 people, plus offices and service spaces. Tilt-up is usually not associated with this type of design, but Miller Construction Company, Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., a Con/Steel licensee, general and tilt-up contractor, accomplished it. Architectural application of Styrofoam, wood, rigid urethane moldings, the Old Florida coral color scheme and rustication pattern, with synthetic stucco finish, give this facility beauty and style.
The nearly 100,000-square-foot facility already has bookings through the year 2000, having held 1000 events in the two months after the grand opening. The architect was Jeff Falkanger & Associates, Inc., Ft. Lauderdale, and the engineer was LJB Engineers & Architects, Dayton, Ohio.
