TAS Commercial Concrete Construction has an immediate opening for a Structural Superintendent, in Houston, Texas. This position is accountable for providing project leadership for field construction activities and personnel. Insures that the assigned projects meet budget, schedule, quality and safety objectives. They are also influential in the management of other employees and helping to insure that the company has the field personnel necessary to meet staffing needs. Will participate in business development and estimating activities within their core competency. The incumbent must have the ability to work different shifts and long hours (8-12 hours), when necessary. Weekend work and extra hours occur according to production.
A minimum of (5) years of experience on concrete construction projects in increasingly more responsible field supervisory capacity.
Advanced knowledge of construction scheduling, cost control, and ability to manage large groups.
Must have extensive working knowledge of all types of forming materials for the following
grade beams, walls, columns, elevated decks, flying decks, pan decks, all safety equipment that pertains to elevated structures and fall protection, shoring and re-shoring.
Ability to read and interpret construction documents required.
Exemplary leadership and high-level decision-making abilities.
Uncontrolled environmental conditions: Constant change in weather and site conditions. Occasionally lifting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, couching, crawling and reaching to preform everyday job task.
Be well organized to effectively oversee all aspects of the project
Hold their crews accountable for safe work practices and work performance excellence
Have the foresight to avoid potential problems before they arise
Have a conscientious attitude towards controlling job costs and adhering to project schedules
Have a valid Texas Driver License with a reasonably clean Driving Record
