The Ritchie Paving Corporate Offices building in Wichita, Kansas, presents an impressive façade and interior to company workers and visitors alike. The 12,700 square foot building was completed December 9, 1994, at a square foot cost of $48.00.

On the exterior, the design incorporates wing walls that add interesting angles and complement a unique, jutting entryway that features the company’s name and logo. A curved entry roof provides a nice departure and contrast to the sharp angles. Functional sun-screen louvers supported by the wing walls extend the color accents of the structure. Decorative aggregate and a sandblast finish complete the look.

Inside, the use of interesting angles continues throughout. Clustered work areas are separated by low divider walls that offer privacy yet afford easy communication. There is an impression of space and light throughout the interior, and this is accomplished by using raised center ceilings in the various work and use areas, and by suspended lighting throughout.
