Tilt-up construction was used to build this new industrial facility that supports important economic development and distribution of goods in the Central Ohio region. The single-story, 1,193,920-square-foot building was constructed with insulated-composite wall panels, and curb appeal was augmented with complex panel returns, overlapping panels and exterior canopies.

What obstacles were overcome related to the schedule, budget, program, specification, site, etc. on this project?

This project was designed and began construction in 2021 during a time when material prices and availability were highly volatile. Due to material procurement, extended lead times, and overall size of the facility, design delivery was crucial to achieve the scheduled project completion. Tilt-up panel design was delivered over a period of nine weeks, using an integral four-phase approach to begin the shop drawings and material procurement process.

What is the potential for this project's impact on the community and/or environment?

The new distribution facility is the largest speculative warehouse developed in terms of square footage in the Central Ohio region as of 2022. The heaviest panel erected weighed 171,240 pounds and measured 53 feet tall. Total square footage of tilt-up panel erected on this project was approximately 265,953 square feet.
