Summarize the project's program, features, and achievements: The Lindamood Headquarters is a 20,269-square-foot two-story office building in Irving, Texas, near Loop 12 & I-35W. This facility serves as the new corporate headquarters for Lindamood, a construction subcontractor specializing in Demolition, Excavation, Heavy Hauling, and Heavy Civil projects. The facility was built on Lindamood’s existing 7.2-acre site in south Irving. The project broke ground on August 17, 2021 and was scheduled to be completed by January 31, 2022. The facility provides a dynamic look to the south Irving neighborhood. Built with Tilt-Up Construction, the Class-A office facility is painted two-tone grey and black on the exterior. The interior features a white, black, and gray color palette with Lindamood Brand Blue and wood accents throughout. The certificate of occupancy was received ahead of schedule on January 14, 2022, exceeding the owner’s urgency in moving into the new facility.

What obstacles were overcome related to the schedule, budget, program, specification, site, etc. on this project? Being the first new office Lindamood had built in decades, ownership worked with the design team to ensure the office finishes were top-of-the-line to reflect the company’s brand and vision. Getting all of the finishes in the middle of supply chain delays and still trying to finish on schedule to allow Lindamood to move in on schedule proved difficult. Ultimately, advanced coordination with the design team, pre-ordering materials, and finding equivalent alternative finishings avoided many supply chain issues and allowed construction to finish on time. The 20,584-square-foot two-story office building was built on Lindamood’s existing 7.2-acre property in an area that had previously served the company as parking and storage space. After the demolition of existing structures, constant coordination had to be maintained for office employees to safely access the existing office, field employees to safely access the outer buildings and truck/equipment yard, and to coordinate the comings and goings of Lindamood’s many trucks and equipment to and from the yard each day.
