GLP Zinfandel, LLC Warehouse Building

With their business steadily growing year over year, Bold Beauty Brands/GLP found themselves in need of a bigger home. They turned to RMW for a new, ground up, 32’ clear industrial building to house distribution facilities and corporate offices. The project, totaling 164,149 sf, is located in Rancho Cordova, California and is built to accommodate multiple tenants until GLP fully expands into the space. The project’s exterior design consists of site-cast tilt-up concrete panels enhanced with a combination of reveals, horizontally oriented form liner panels, white steel canopies, grey glazing, and clerestory windows. The building exterior is further articulated with three vertical tilt-up tower elements that anchor the building’s two primary corners and the multi-tenant entry points spaced across the building. The towers utilize 2-foot-deep returns at their vertical sides to add relief to the building façade. The tower elements also create the opportunity for varying parapet heights across the building’s main elevation, adding visual excitement to the structure and pleasing the local planning department officials. As the number of tilt-up industrial buildings continues to increase amidst the e-commerce boom, so does the push to make them more attractive, especially those situated within residential areas such as this one. The exterior design is completed with a bold color palette consisting of deep red and charcoal tones resulting in a stylistically modern structure with a highly tailored look that evokes a sense of prestige.
