The Southwest 85 Logistics Center is a 1,208,301 sf speculative warehouse building in Newnan, Georgia. This cross-dock distribution facility features 7” thick unreinforced concrete aprons, 4 drive-in ramps, 10’ trailer parking dolly strips, and 140,000 sf of additional concrete truck paving. The building shell is constructed of shallow foundations, a 6” Ductilcrete slab on grade, and 246,904 sf of tilt-up panels. Many of the panels feature a stone accent form liner that gives the panels an illusion of stacked stone. A total of 43 documented rain days restricted the project schedule over a four-month period. Despite the onerous weather, the project was completed in a record breaking 107-day time frame. This project site also holds the record for largest Ductilecrete pour. A total of 214,000 sf of Ductilcrete slab was placed in a single continuous pour by the Southwest 85 project team.
