Project summary provided by submitting company.
The project replaced the existing courthouse with a 29,511 s.f. modern, secure, and functionally appropriate courthouse. It has expanded court services in western Merced County by providing a jury assembly room and adding a family law division and family law proceedings, including mediation and self-help services. It also provides one additional courtroom to accommodate a planned new judgeship.
The facility design utilizes a concrete tilt-up wall system with a structural steel frame, concrete slab on grade, a concrete fill over metal deck floor system and a single plyroofing over rigid insulation over a metal deck roofing system.
