Mama Lycha

Providing a prominent, welcoming street presence, this building opens onto a busy intersection with the firm mass and openness of tilt-up construction. The main-entry layers panels with oversize openings. The centerpiece is a 28-foot by 40-foot tilt-wall panel projecting from the entry corner, which has a 23-foot by 27-foot punched opening. To maintain the foundation’s integrity for the cooler and freezer areas, several tilt-wall panels were stacked during casting and walked into place during lifting.
