The Kubota North American headquarters project includes: a 115,358-square-foot, three-story, tilt-up office building with a glass curtain wall; a 102,669-square-foot, three-level, precast parking garage; and a 60,175 square-foot, two-story, tilt-up research and development building. The building incorporates an intricate facade design along with a V-shaped floor plan. To accommodate the eight different elevations incorporating concrete tilt panels, storefront, curtain wall, metal panels and combinations thereof of the building's design elements, panel layout and sequencing took top priority for the schedule completion. This approach allowed features such as narrow, multi-story window openings and a 20-foot clear story height. This project required an intricate pouring and erection sequence because of the floorplan design and significant grade change present in the site. Because of the close proximity of the buildings, panels were cast on the lower slab and hoisted up and over the grade change area to the higher slab. The project has been designed to meet LEED Gold requirements.
