Discovery Center I
This 45,000-square-foot corporate headquarters for a civil engineering company began with an extremely aggressive budget, and tilt-up provided the ideal solution for the budget without compromising the design or composition. Three of the building's corners use F-shape panels to allow for full-vision glass and two curtain wall features. The lobby uses the panel leg as a design feature, seamlessly integrating it with a bench that branches off of the leg. The entire skin was erected in two days, and vital interior design elements were integrated with the tilt-wall metric.
This small smart-box design utilizes tilt-up construction to deliver high architecture to a small business at an affordable price.
