The YESCO Manufacturing Facility and Corporate Office Building was constructed in only eight months (including a full season of harsh winter weather). Utilizing the tallest Tilt-Up panels ever constructed in Utah, the 66.5-foot tower provides additional signage on the freeway side of the building, which is essential for this sign company. The building is designed around the corporation’s commitment to lean process implementation for both the office and manufacturing components.
The Tilt-Up concrete provides the durability required in the manufacturing areas, while also allowing for large sections of glass in the offices for views and natural lighting. The concrete structure is ideal for minimizing unwanted noise pollution (from nearby freeway and airport traffic), and requires little if any maintenance. Energy saving strategies were also incorporated. This building is an example of creating dynamic spaces utilizing simple, cost-effective shapes and materials.
