The high-tech trend continues in the Manufacturing/Industrial category with ADC Telecommunications' ADC Loon III facility in Ciudad Juarez, Chihuahua, Mexico. The 221,174-square-foot space is the fourth project Lintel Constructora has completed for ADC in the last three years.
ADC once again selected Tilt-Up because of the method's ability to hold building value and architectural appeal.
The innovative use of curved panels, glass, and K-shaped Tilt-Up columns provide movement and uniqueness to the design. The small radius curved Tilt-Up panels were used to achieve perfectly circled focal areas. Such is the case with the main lobby and cafeteria areas with 24-feet and 46-feet radius respectively.
These circular forms are enhanced by the use of Tilt-Up columns shaped like the letter "K." The K shape allows the columns to maintain their center of gravity.
