Choose your adventure. In lieu of a long bus ride through Atlanta traffic, the Atlanta Host Committee has identified three unique behind-the-scenes tours that mix the best of Atlanta with cutting-edge tilt-up. Movie lovers may choose to scope out some of the city’s most famous filming locations coupled with a tour of Atlanta Metro Studios, while sports fans may opt for an afternoon at The Battery – a high-profile, mixed-use development home to SunTrust Park – and an impressive four-story tilt-up office building. Crime buffs will be interested in a rare behind-the-scenes tour of the new Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Atlanta Field Office. Once the weekend hits, there are two more tour options to round out your trip to Georgia: a southern foods tour and an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at the CNN world headquarters.

Load Bus on the Lower Level at the Back of the Hotel on Courtland St.

Get a behind-the-scenes look at the new Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Atlanta Field Office. The 151,066-square-foot, state-of-the-art law enforcement facility opened in October of 2017. The FBI has 56 field offices (or divisions) centrally located in major metropolitan areas across the U.S. and Puerto Rico. These offices are the places where the FBI carries out investigations, assess local and regional crime threats, and works closely with partners on cases and operations. Each field office is overseen by a special agent in charge.

“This new building, along with its associated technology and extremely thought out design, will serve as the backdrop for the critical contribution of the FBI Atlanta Field Office as it carries out its many important missions throughout the State of Georgia and beyond,” said David J. LeValley, former special agent in charge at the FBI Atlanta Field Office.

“The Federal Bureau of Investigation’s new Atlanta Field Office is a testament to the General Services Administration’s mission to deliver the best value in real estate, acquisitions, and technology services to government and the American people,” said the GSA Acting Administrator, Timothy Horne. “The field office will allow the FBI to bring its field operations under one roof at an annual rental rate negotiated to achieve the best value to taxpayers. The GSA is pleased to deliver this state-of-the-art, ISC Level IV secured, single-tenant facility that will support the FBI in serving the American public for decades to come.”
