John W Lawson, SE

Professor
Cal Poly

John Lawson is a licensed Civil and Structural Engineer in California and Arizona, and has overseen the engineering design of over 100 million square feet of tilt-up construction including several of which were awarded TCA Achievement Awards. He is currently a structural consultant and also a full professor at Cal Poly State University in San Luis Obispo where he teaches structural engineering courses. He has a bachelors degree in Architectural Engineering from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo, and a Masters degree in Structural Engineering from Stanford University. In 2006, TCA awarded John the David L. Kelly Distinguished Engineer Award.
