Summarize the project's program, features and achievements?

A new headquarters for a utility company providing electric, propane and broadband services to rural Southwest Michigan. The facility has multiple components that consist of a two story office and operations center, data center, warehouse, with storage for fleet vehicles. A second stand-alone building includes a vehicle maintenance shop. All buildings are constructed with tilt-up concrete panels with some interior concrete as well.

What obstacles were overcome related to the schedule, budget, program, specification, site, etc. on this project?

The different components of the building have different interior structures and roof system integration. The office utilizes a conventional steel frame, the warehouse and vehicle bays utilize a pre-engineered steel frame and roof. The data center combines load bearing, steel and tilt-up to support a concrete lid.

Please communicate any engineering complexities or unique features of the panel design for this project?

The project includes a hardened storm protected area for the data center component including a concrete lid over tilt-up wall panels.
