Completed in 2025, The Base is a transformative industrial development located in Litchfield, Arizona. This multi-building complex comprises seven state-of-the-art structures, including high-capacity distribution centers and warehouses, designed to meet the evolving demands of modern logistics and e-commerce operations. With over a million square feet of combined space, the project reflects an ambitious vision brought to life through innovation in design, efficiency in construction, and unprecedented coordination among trade partners.
The project employed tilt-up concrete construction across all seven buildings, a method selected for its speed, cost-effectiveness, and durability. Notably, The Base features 130 custom-engineered spandrel panels and 42 Tilt-up concrete columns.
Spandrel panels, traditionally used in high-rise construction, were innovatively adapted here to create a clean, modern industrial façade while simultaneously enhancing structural performance. The inclusion of large tilt-up concrete columns throughout the development added architectural rhythm and further strengthened lateral support systems.
One of the most challenging aspects of the project was managing an over-congested site. With limited staging areas and multiple buildings under construction simultaneously, coordination among trades was essential. Mechanical, electrical, structural, and general contractors worked in close synchronization—often overlapping schedules—without compromising safety, quality, or speed.
