Moffitt Ruskin Ambulatory Center

Summarize the project's program, features and achievements?

The New Moffitt Cancer Center in Ruskin campus will be much more convenient for patients within the surrounding community while focusing on a robust radiology program. That program will allow imaging to be available closer to more patients and the clinic space will treat all cancer diagnoses.

What obstacles were overcome related to the schedule, budget, program, specification, site, etc. on this project?

The concrete contractor overcame many obstacles while staying on schedule for this project including multiple panel erection mobilizations and coordination of cast in place concrete and structural steel erection all going on simultaneously. Along with the typical South Florida afternoon thunderstorms, the project overcame two hurricanes, (Helene and Milton) while staying on schedule.

Please communicate any engineering complexities or unique features of the panel design for this project?

Spandrel panels were erected and temporarily braced to the poured second floor.
