Bioscience

Summarize the project's program, features and achievements?

The project site was extremely confined, requiring the team to maximize the utilization of the available casting slabs. This involved repurposing the same slabs multiple times to cast the 165 total panels. To provide the necessary stability and support for the panels during erection, the team implemented the use of helical piers to brace the panels to the outside of the building envelope. This was a critical step given the tight constraints of the site, which did not allow for typical outside panel erection.

Due to the limited space and proximity to the property line, the entire panel erection process had to be carried out from the interior of the buildings. This unconventional approach required meticulous planning and execution to safely install all the tilt-up components. Further complicating the project, the team employed a variety of formliner styles and finishes across the different panel elements. Coordinating the diverse aesthetic treatments added an additional layer of complexity to the panel fabrication and erection.

The combination of the cramped site conditions, need for specialized bracing and erection methods, and diverse architectural detailing presented significant challenges that the All-Phase team expertly navigated to deliver the successful project.
