Aligned Data Center SLC 03 is the final phase of a data center campus in suburban Salt Lake City. Suntec Concrete executed the tilt-up pase of the project with Layton Construction serving as general contractor. The tilt-up process for the 86 panels that Suntec placed took 60 days to execute. The panels were a standard 8-inch thickness, but they were not for structural in function, but a façade for the building. They were lifted and connected to the existing structural framework of the building. The panels featured elaborate reveal designs to accentuate the aesthetics of the facility.
SLC 03 is the final phase of a three-building data center campus for Aligned Energy, which has four data centers in the Salt Lake City market. In total, the campus features more than 100 MW of capacity on 55 acres. SLC 03 is an 80 MW build-to-scale facility, the largest of the three in terms of capacity. At 3 stories, SLC 03 has 480,000 square feet of data storage space.
