Scottsdale Entrada is a 248,000 square foot office building that is part of a mixed use development. The 3 story building has unique design features, utilizing both tilt-up concrete panels and structural steel The center of the building has a striking rounded look, with tilt panels on the lower floor and structural steel for the upper two levels. The curved look was created using a pattern of alternating tilt panels and glass. Tilt panels were used exclusively on the ends of the building, with large window openings in each panel. The larger panels had varying thicknesses from the base to the top, from 10 inches thick at the base tapering up from 9 inches, to 8 inches and 6 inches at the very top of each panel.
The panels also had form liner box ribs and were all built at 5,000 PSI. Due to a tight jobsite, Suntec utilized a waste slab for panel pours. All told, Suntec placed 85 panels on this Class A office facility.
Scottsdale Entrada is part of a $300 million redevelopment of a key South Scottsdale parcel. The parcel is in an ideal location, bordering the City of Tempe and the City of Phoenix. At 248,000 square feet, Scottsdale Entrada was the Valley's largest office building completed in the third quarter of 2022, according to a market report from Cushman & Wakefield. Scottsdale Entrada is part of a mixed-use project that consists of several projects going on simultaneously with over 750 apartments, 7,500 sq. ft. of retail space, along with two massive parking structures.
With multiple projects under construction simultaneously and other trades activities going on with the other projects, a lot of pre-planning had to take place due to the limited space we had to lift panels for this project.
