Urban District 183

Summarize the project's program, features, and achievements: Building A at 1200 S. Pipeline Road has a cross-dock configuration with 34 dock doors and a 28-foot clear height. Building B, a warehouse at 1050 S. Industrial Blvd., features 35 dock doors and a 32-foot clear height. Building C, serving as an e-commerce and 8 fulfillment center at 1000 S. Industrial Road, has a 28-foot clear height and 14 dock doors.

What obstacles were overcome related to the schedule, budget, program, specification, site, etc. on this project? The project overcome scheduling and budget issues related to the supply of concrete to the site. The ongoing concrete allocations topple with available concrete delivery drivers took out of the box approach to finish the project. The crews in the field along with GC management were able to take concrete deliveries that were canceled from other suppliers.

Please communicate any engineering complexities or unique features of the panel design for this project. ? The project was provided with a unique feature on several panels along the front and sides of the buildings. The client wanted an economical but unique feature at the entrances of each building. We created a random pattern of vertical lines that were of random widths (we called them planking) and depths varying from +3/4" to -3/4" from face of panel while still keeping the structural integrity of the panel form and size.

What is the potential for this project's impact on the community and/or environment? The project assisted with the flooding issues the track of land and adjacent public park had prior to the construction of the this project. The drainage improvements assisted in channeling storm water away from public park reducing the flooding damage and into the City's storm system.
