Summarize the project's program, features and achievements.
Originally designed as a pre-engineered metal building with masonry cladding, this subcontractor worked with the design team to convert to tilt-up. The exposed insulated panels combined with the long span metal trusses accommodated the owners design criteria for no columns in the way of the indoor basketball and tennis courts. The center section of the building provides a second floor for additional spectator viewing. This project was completed with many challenges including limited space while existing students were training around adjacent facilities. The first tilt-up project built on the IMG campus, the owner is already designing future projects using tilt-up construction after seeing the benefits both architecturally and structurally.
