The Switch NAP 01 project located in Lithia Springs, GA is a 175,000 s.f. data base facility utilizing shallow foundations, 5” & 6” slab on grade, two elevator pits, 30,000 s.f. of slab on metal deck, tilt wall construction, exterior Air Handler Unit foundations, generator pads, electrical buildings with shallow foundations and slab on grade, a communication tower foundation, and concrete paving. The data base center featured a total of 190 tilt panels. The outside perimeter of the building accounted for 1,895 linear feet of tilt wall, and an additional 2,665 linear feet of interior tilt wall. There was nearly 30,000 s.f. of casting bed used in order to form and pour the 190 tilt panels. The tallest panel was part of the exterior walls and was 49’ in height. The 4 end walls of the building featured a 624’10” radius at the top of the tilt panels. The exterior tilt panels were patched in order to receive a flat paint finish.
This facility will be one of the buildings in Atlanta’s Keep Campus. Switch’s Platinum data center facilities make Switch the highest-rated and most cost-effective collocation environment in the industry.
