Great Wolf Lodge

Project summary provided by submitting company.

The Great Wolf Lodge will feature a 85,000 sq ft indoor water park along with a 27,000 sq ft family entertainment center known as the Great Wolf Adventure Park. The six story hotel will accommodate 350 rooms for guest. This project is located southeast of the loop 101 on Talking Stick Way, in Scottsdale, AZ, and is based on sacred Native American Grounds. A special blessing was performed during the groundbreaking of this phenomenal project. The most challenging part of this project was the 948 inch tall tilt panel Suntec lifted which would act as the backbone for the waterslide. This enormous panel superseded the largest panel lifted at that time of 339,000 lbs. Suntec utilized a 300 ton plane crawler crane to lift the 369,600 lbs panel. The width of the panel was 755 inches. At the start of the project there was much discussion of how this could be accomplished. With the help of Gensler, we were able to come up with the tilt-up construction design that was safer for all trades, and accelerated the overall schedule. This new community attraction will assist in driving economic growth and positively impacting Arizona's workforce. Great Wolf Lodge is scheduled to open in October of 2019.
