Thatcher Chemical
Tilt-up was selected for the Thatcher Chemical concrete warehouse and office building, a challenging project amid ongoing plant operations. The building's proximity to existing railroad tracks and delivery truck routes presented challenges for casting slabs, which were resolved by stacking. Additional challenges included different elevations to accommodate the interior containment areas and the 1-percent slope floor on the warehouse, with footings from 2 to 8 feet below the finish floor.
