PetSmart West Coast Distribution Center

PetSmart West Coast Distribution Center is an 870,720 SF industrial distribution center, which features 850,000 SF of dry warehouse space, 50,000 SF of specialty warehouse space, and 10,000 SF of office space. The building was designed to accommodate an additional 200,880 SF for future expansion. The building design incorporated a very narrow isle design with automated high bay storage and racking, and a three tier module with automated conveying system to provide loading and unloading to dock door locations. The tilt-up construction featured layered panels with a neutral color scheme to separate the massing and add interest to the building facade. The main corner entrance is highlighted by storefront glass and an overhead glass canopy. A fly wall extends past the main entrance to the side of the building and is held by truncated columns covered in native-colored stone.
