Physicians Sales & Services
A glass curtain wall system dominates the front facade of this striking building. The balance of the perimeter is constructed of four-story high tilt-up concrete panels. The 108,000 square-foot building was constructed in only nine months!
The design/build team was made up of Liberty Property Trust, owner; KBJ Architects, Inc.; and Elkins Constructors, Inc., the general and tilt-up contractor; all of Jacksonville. Operating under a fast-track program, they were able to accommodate the needs of Physicians Sales & Service for a corporate headquarters that is highly visible, and conveys their professional image and position as a leader in the medical equipment industry.
The building incorporates the first four-story tilt-up panels to be erected in the Jacksonville market. McVeigh & Mangum Engineering, Inc., Jacksonville, provided the engineering.
