Jerry Greer is a registered architect and graduate from Arizona State University with a Bachelor of Science in Architectural Design. During Jerry’s time at Arizona State University he was fortunate to have his business plan selected by the Edson Student Entrepreneur Initiative to receive seed funding, which assisted him in co-launching a not for profit venture, Integral Shelter, which focused on providing design services to underserved populations. This endeavor led Jerry to South Africa to assist in the design and construction of a community center to house, educate and provide entrepreneurial opportunities for children who were orphaned due to the loss of their parents to HIV/AIDS. Upon returning from Africa, Jerry continued to operate Integral Shelter for five years while pursuing his architecture career in Tempe, Arizona. Jerry spent the next ten years working as an architect overseeing higher education and healthcare projects from early design through construction completion. In 2014, Jerry was fortunate to work on the Phoenix College Allied Health and Dental Project where Okland Construction was selected to be the Construction Manager. Over the course of the design and construction process, Jerry was encouraged by Okland’s support of the design process and their collaborative approach to solving constructability issues and seeking out cost effective design solutions. At the end of the project when an opportunity to work for Okland Construction presented itself, Jerry was eager to see how his design training and management approach would compliment Okland’s unique approach to construction. Jerry joined Okland Construction in 2015 and is currently a Project Director overseeing a wide range of projects in higher education, science and technology, research and art to name a few. As a project director Jerry is involved in the projects from award through pre-construction and construction. Jerry oversees the project teams to ensure that Okland delivers on our commitment to create a remarkable experience for the client, design team, trade partners and Okland personnel.
