Derick Rainey has deep roots in the tilt-up industry, having grown up around concrete and working alongside his father from a young age. After starting out as a delivery driver and warehouse worker for a Kentucky-based concrete supply distributor, he became fascinated with tilt-up construction—a passion that has shaped his professional path. In 2003, he moved into outside sales, focusing on serving tilt-up contractors, and joined Nox-Crete in 2014 as Southeast Regional Manager. He was named Tilt-Up Division Manager in 2019 and promoted to Vice President of North American Sales in 2022. Derick is an active member of the Tilt-Up Concrete Association, currently serving on its Board of Directors, as well as the education committee. He also participates in the TILT Mentorship Program and has presented multiple sessions at the TCA Convention. His technical bulletins, “Reactive Bondbreakers Use Chemistry to Extend Lifting Timelines” (2020) and “Bondbreakers and Densifiers” (2022), were both published by the TCA.
