The Lift & Learn Collective

A modern take on the book club brings emerging leaders together to explore ideas, share perspectives, and grow through conversation

Every leader has a list.

There’s the leadership book on the nightstand. The podcast saved for the drive home. The article a colleague recommended weeks ago. Great ideas are everywhere.

Making time to explore them—and finding people to discuss them with—is the harder part.

That’s the inspiration behind The Lift & Learn Collective, a new initiative from Tilt-Up Industry Leaders of Tomorrow (TILT).

At first glance, it might sound like a book club. That’s not entirely wrong.

Books will certainly have a place, but they won’t define the experience. Discussions may revolve around a podcast, an article, a video, a blog post, or a leadership book. Whatever the format, the goal is the same: bring curious people together to exchange ideas, challenge perspectives, and learn from one another.

The emphasis isn’t on consuming content.

It’s on the conversation that follows.

Professional development has changed. Great ideas are no longer found only in classrooms or conference sessions. They’re shared through podcasts during a morning commute, articles between meetings, books read a chapter at a time, and videos passed from colleague to colleague.

The Lift & Learn Collective embraces that reality by creating space for discussion. Participants are encouraged to share experiences, ask thoughtful questions, and consider how ideas from leadership, communication, business, and personal growth apply to the work they do every day.

The Collective will launch with a podcast episode, intentionally chosen because it’s an easy, approachable way to begin. As the community grows, discussions will expand to include books and other resources while continuing to draw inspiration from a variety of formats.

The Lift & Learn Collective also complements TILT’s broader mission of developing the next generation of leaders across every discipline of the tilt-up industry. Alongside mentoring and other leadership experiences, it creates another opportunity for emerging professionals from TCA member companies to connect, learn, and build relationships that strengthen both their careers and the industry.

Ultimately, The Lift & Learn Collective isn’t about finishing another book or checking another podcast off your list.

It’s about making time for ideas—and the conversations that make those ideas meaningful.
