A New Joint Venture

The Tilt-Up Concrete Association recently announced a new joint marketing venture with one of its industry allies, the Concrete Reinforcing Steel Institute (CRSI), to market Tilt-Up construction in the 2-5 story building market.  CRSI has performed market research indicating that Tilt-Up has a large market potential for buildings of this size.  It includes office buildings, retail, mixed-use and a host of other building types.  Tilt-Up has always performed strongly in the single-story, large footprint building, but the market for 2-5 stories remains untapped in many regions.

The venture involves partnering with CRSI managers in 8 regions to promote Tilt-Up.  CRSI has the field personnel and contacts to make calls but lacks the expertise in Tilt-Up construction.  While the exact details of the effort have yet to be worked out, it will likely involve TCA members making joint calls with CRSI sales managers in their respective marketing areas.  TCA will also provide presentation materials for use by CRSI and TCA personnel.
An introduction meeting is scheduled for Wednesday afternoon, February 6 from 2-4pm at the World of Concrete in Las Vegas.  This meeting will introduce CRSI regional managers to TCA members to brainstorm local promotional efforts.  An introductory presentation will be made, followed by regional roundtables with CRSI regional personnel.  We expect the entire meeting to last 2-3 hours.

If you would like to participate in this effort but are unable to attend, please contact Mitch, Jim or Me to make your interest known.

HERE’S THE DEAL

In an unrelated item, TCA is attempting to clean out it archives of publications, in particular, marketing publications and back issues of the TCA magazine.  It includes the Market Segments Series (Education, Retail, Religion); the Proven Solutions Series (Key to Green Design, Tilt-Up the Solution, Designing for Success, and Consistent and Dependable Solutions); and all past issues of the magazine over 1 year old.  The move toward delivering publications electronically has taken its toll on publication sales and the result is a room full of unsold publications.

We will send to you on request, for the cost of shipping, the publication(s) of choice.  Call or e-mail staff if you have any specific requests and for availability.  We will advertise this offer in future magazines and e-blasts, but our goal is to get these publications (still valid and relevant) in the hands of our members instead of recycling them.
