Suntec Concrete is proud to announce that it has earned the Architectural Tilt-Up Contractor Certification from the Tilt-Up Concrete Association (TCA), the national organization focused on improving the quality of tilt-up construction. The goal of the TCA Company Certification Program is to provide a universally accepted verification program for assuring the experience, quality, performance, and safety of tilt-up concrete producers. The Architectural Tilt-Up Contractor Certification is the highest level of company certification offered by the TCA.

“This certification exemplifies the best of TCA and the best of Suntec, and our talented teams that make these results possible,” said Suntec President and CEO Derek Wright. “Congratulations team!”

To become certified, Suntec had to complete a three-phase application process: The first phase showed project expertise by highlighting 15 tilt-up projects that Suntec has successfully executed, including client testimonials. The second phase showed Suntec’s safety planning, as well as the capabilities and expertise of its staff. The final phase included an on-site visit from TCA representatives.

The program certifies that companies managing the tilt-up construction process have met the criteria established for evaluation, which includes analysis of company policies and procedures, and a demonstrative ability to consistently deliver a quality product. Further, certified companies have proven that they hire trained, certified, and qualified personnel in all aspects of the tilt-up construction process.

The emphasis of the program is on quality control and quality assurance. Other factors such as safety, experience, current activity, adherence to specifications, and owner verification of performance are part of the evaluation criteria. The final phase includes an on-site review of company documents to verify the information presented. A company’s experience, performance, and adherence to the program requirements are reviewed annually for the certification to be renewed.
