To submit a manuscript to the TCA Journal, please read and follow the guidelines below. Complete manuscripts in PDF format can be emailed year-round to timothy.mays@citadel.edu (Timothy W. Mays, Ph.D., P.E. , TCA Journal Technical Editor). Manuscripts must be less than 8,000 words and any figures or tables should be considered 300 words each when verifying the word count. Manuscripts must include the following sections: Title, Author(s), Abstract, Introduction, Body (varies), Conclusions, Acknowledgments, References, Notation. 

TCA will acknowledge receipt of your manuscript within one week. A review committee with an expertise related to the content of your manuscript will review the submittal and provide anonymous individual comments to the author through the technical editor. Peer review normally takes two to three months to complete. The review committee’s recommendations to the technical editor will be used to determine if the manuscript is accepted and its scheduled publication date. 

Once a paper has been accepted for publication, the author will be asked to submit individual figure files of specific quality and size to meet the journal’s quality standard.

The Tilt-Up Convention and Expo is headed to Denver, Colorado, in 2022 and we want to hear from you. If you’re an expert in tilt-up design, engineering, construction, or technology and have an idea for a seminar, we invite you to submit a proposal.
