Concrete Strategies, a leading and growing construction company in North America, is pleased to announce the signing of a lease to relocate its operational service, innovation, and training center to 5790 Campus Parkway in Hazelwood, Missouri. A subsidiary of Clayco, Concrete Strategies is known for its exceptional expertise in turnkey cast-in-place concrete, structural concrete, tilt-up, flatwork, precast erection, and various concrete restoration and coatings/water-proofing services for commercial projects.

Concrete Strategies is ranked among the top ten national contractors by ENR (Engineering News-Record). The company boasts an unparalleled track record, completing turnkey construction projects and generating $500 million in revenue annually.

With a commitment to safety at the forefront, Concrete Strategies manages more than 1,000 office and field personnel nationwide. The decision to move the operational center to Hazelwood aligns with the company’s vision for its continued growth and commitment to the community.

“We made the strategic decision to relocate our growing operation to a larger, more central location in Hazelwood where our team members feel safe, do their best work, and have the backing of the community,” said Pat Moriarity, president of Concrete Strategies. “At Concrete Strategies, we pride ourselves on delivering a ‘more to the pour’ experience for our clients and employees.”

The 191,000-square-foot operational hub will feature 20,000 square feet of office space including a state-of-the-art, craft jobs training and innovation center for field-testing cutting-edge concrete products for performance and sustainability. The training space will also be used by Construction Career Development Initiative (CCDI), which endeavors to bring diversity to the design and construction industry by exposing and mentoring minority, underrepresented, and underserved students to career development in construction.

Bob Clark, founder and executive chairman of Clayco, commended Concrete Strategies for their strategic growth and commitment to creating opportunities for young people in the trades. “We could not be prouder of Pat and the Concrete Strategies team for staying on the cutting edge of concrete product testing, while also creating a pathway for young people in the trades for high-paying jobs, which are critical now more than ever. This multiyear lease and capital investment will ensure Concrete Strategies remains a long-term part of the Hazelwood community.”

Concrete Strategies’s decision to relocate its operational hub to Hazelwood is seen as a positive development for the local community. The company’s dedication to safety, quality construction, and job training aligns with the community’s values and continues the strong economic development within Hazelwood.

“We are excited to welcome Concrete Strategies to our wonderful community. Hazelwood continues to establish itself as a primary location for industrial projects in the region with our central location, robust economic development capabilities, and strong workforce,” said Matt Zimmerman, city manager for Hazelwood. “It is especially gratifying to see a global leader based in St. Louis continue to reinvest in Hazelwood and the region.”
