Robert (Bob) Murray

Robert (Bob) Murray, senior vice president of Alston Construction, has expanded his region to provide leadership throughout the Midwest, including the Downers Grove office in the Chicagoland area. Jim Wegman will continue to serve as vice president/general manager for the office in Rosemont, IL.

Bob started his career at Alston in 2006, serving as senior project manager on the Iport 12 project in New Jersey. This project was built on a former landfill site and required over 8,000 driven piles as a part of a unique foundation design.

In 2012, Bob was promoted to operations manager for the office in Edison, NJ. During this period, Bob did an excellent job in developing key owner relationships with Medline Industries, which challenged him to provide oversite for this key client across the entire Alston footprint of 23 offices nationwide.

In 2017, Bob was promoted to vice president/general manager of the Northeast, and expanded the region by opening new offices in Allentown, PA, and Columbus, OH. He was named senior vice president and regional manager in 2019.

Bob brings over 40 years of construction experience to his expanded role. He is a valued member of the Alston team, providing leadership in the Northeast region and working closely with other regions of the country. Bob has demonstrated the ability to share resources throughout the company while growing and expanding its client base, and developing lasting relationships with repeat clients.

“We are delighted to see Bob continue to grow his team to include the operations in Downers Grove. Under his guidance and leadership, he has developed high performance project teams that have routinely delivered exceptional service and outstanding results for our customers.”

Bob will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of Alston’s construction projects in the Midwest region, including project management, business development, and client relations. He will also work closely with Alston’s executive team to ensure that the company continues to deliver high-quality projects on time and within budget.

“I am excited to take on this expanded role and work with the talented team at Alston Construction Midwest Team,” said Bob Murray. “I look forward to strengthening our relationships with clients in the Midwest and delivering exceptional results on their projects.”
