TCA Staff Announces Web Conference Series
TCA Staff is pleased to announce what started at the TCA Convention last year in Florida has evolved into a great opportunity for your company and staff as a member of the TCA. During that Convention, TCA Staff presented the evolution of the International Energy Conservation Code and its impact on building design and construction. Since then, substantial interest has been growing and the result is a new TCA Member-Only presentation approved for AIA HSW credits.
This presentation features a discussion of the 2009 and 2012 IECC that are in the process of adoption across all markets and the related sections of ASHRAE 90.1 that impact an even broader international market. Our presentation is titled Tilt-Up Concrete Construction: A Real Energy Envelope Solution. It’s purpose is to parallel the aggressive requirements found in these latest two energy codes with the proven performance known in tilt-up construction for a whole building envelope solution. These energy codes account for a Federally-mandated 30% reduction in designed building energy consumption.
As an active TCA member, your organization should consider this opportunity to become more educated on the energy codes and to prepare some of your staff to offer this presentation to design professionals in your market. As a registered AIA LU provider, the TCA can train and authorize its members to deliver this informational presentation and then provide us with the names of those receiving the presentation. We in turn file the credits for you and produce certificates that you may follow-up with at a later date.
If this opportunity is of interest to you and your company, please email jbaty@tilt-up.org with an RSVP for the date you prefer to join the web conference. Information on joining the conference will be sent the day before.
