Thermomass hires Miguel Branco to assume duties of Structural Engineer

Thermomass®, a leading manufacturer of concrete building insulation systems, is proud to announce Miguel Branco has joined the company as a Structural Engineer and will provide technical support for overseas sales.

“In addition to focusing on research activities, Miguel will be providing technical support for our sister company, Construction Systems Marketing (CSM) in Germany.  We are very excited to have him as the newest addition to our team,” said Venkatesh Seshappa, P.E. & S.E., Director of Engineering at Thermomass.

Branco was born in Lisbon Portugal, where he graduated from the Technical University of Lisbon in 2005 with a degree in Civil Engineering. Since then, he has collaborated in the structural design of several buildings in Portugal, Spain and Romania. Over the past 4 years, Branco has been studying towards his PhD in Civil Engineering, which is near completion. During this stage he has done research in cooperation with UC Berkeley and has taught civil engineering courses at two universities in Portugal.

After living for 6 months in Chicago with his wife Anne, he now embraces a new challenge with Thermomass in central Iowa.
