Summer is here and many of us are embarking on our busiest time of the year. One of the keys to success in the design and construction industry is incorporating new technology into
your toolkit. This issue of Tilt-Up Today showcases some of the latest technology available in the Tilt-Up marketplace. Our innovative Global Associates are constantly looking for ways to help us all improve our business and I invite you to see their latest offerings.

Another place to check out the best our industry has to offer is the TCA Annual Convention, to be held Sept. 29 – Oct. 1 in Irvine, Calif. This year’s Convention will focus on disaster protection while also offering several ideas for how to grow your business through sustainability and marketing presentations. I have been a frequent attendee to the Convention and I always walk away with valuable information. I encourage you to register for the Convention as soon as possible.

One of the most important benefits I get out of the Convention each year is the opportunity to network with others in the industry. It is no secret that times have been tough for the past couple of years. I enjoy hearing what others are doing to not only survive, but thrive in these times. There is no other event in our industry that provides such an excellent forum for exchanging ideas and sharing insight.

As we continue to move forward, I encourage all TCA members to increase their participation in the Association. Join a committee, become an ACI/TCA certified technician or supervisor, attend the Convention or submit a project to the Achievement Awards program. Submit an idea to TCA for articles that you would like to see included in Tilt-Up Today. It is critically important that we continue to demonstrate the effectiveness of Tilt-Up in meeting design and construction goals. Active involvement by our members brings new ideas to the forefront and creates important dialogue.
