TCA Adds LEED Directories to Website
TCA has added Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Accredited Professionals (APs) and Certified projects directories to their website (www.tilt-up.org).
According to Jim Baty, Technical Director of the TCA, there continues to be great interest in finding Tilt-Up professionals with this expertise.
“Tilt-Up is an established construction method of choice in sustainable construction,” says Baty. “Decades of experience demonstrate how Tilt-Up projects benefit from a focus on sustainable construction from local material availability to exceptional thermal performance; supplementary mix designs to recycled content and reuse. The ability to provide additional resourcing such as finding qualified professionals or project references that have been certified through the LEED program is an important step toward recognition of this strong history.”
The LEED Green Building Rating System, developed by the U.S. Green Building Council, provides standards for environmentally sustainable construction. LEED encourages global adoption of building sustainable green building. LEED APs are required to understand the LEED Green Building Rating System before they can become accredited.
