Shelley Metz Baumann Hawk changes name to SMBH, Inc.

Spring is here and the promise of growth for our industry leaves us optimistic. At SMBH, we are fortunate that spring coincides with many positive changes we are honored to share with our valued partners and clients.

To begin, one important yet not too drastic of change is our name from Shelley Metz Baumann Hawk to SMBH, Inc. With leadership changes, we knew it was time to update our name. However, we recognized that the name should be descriptive, distinctive and meaningful. It should also be relatable to our audience and resonate with those we serve. Interestingly enough, the industry helped us realize the answer to our naming challenge as so many of you have referred to us as SMBH for years. As such, we have decided to officially change to SMBH, Inc. – a name that takes advantage of our rich heritage, pays homage to our former leaders, and is representative of the reputation we have earned for providing innovative and reliable engineering services.

In addition to our new name, we have also launched a new website (website name remains the same www.smbhinc.com) and updated our marketing efforts. We invite you to visit the website and let us know of any suggestions on other resources we can add to better serve you.

And, though some of our leadership has changed in title and areas of responsibility, these leaders have been part of the SMBH, Inc. team for years and are committed to continuing the same level of service and innovation as their predecessors. Having spent most of my career at this firm, I am honored to now serve as its president and guide our growing team in a manner that responds to today’s challenging economy and construction market.
