As tilt-up construction continues to expand across market sectors and geographic regions, the need for structured, rigorous, and accessible education has grown in parallel. For more than a decade, the Tilt-Up Concrete Association has invested in building a comprehensive learning environment centered on high-quality industry knowledge, cross-disciplinary insight, and standardized documentation of continuing education. Tilt-Up Academy—recipient of a Platinum Hermes Creative Award in 2018—has become a key component of this mission, offering on-demand seminars focused on the design, engineering, and construction of tilt-up buildings.
This year, the Association introduces a significant expansion to the platform: Team Access, a new organizational-level offering designed to support internal training programs, professional development pathways, and company-wide continuing education management.
A Unified Approach to Continuing Education
Tilt-Up Academy integrates directly with each member’s TCA profile, creating a single, unified record of continuing education. Since 2021, course completions from both online content and in-person TCA events—including conventions, certification seminars, and regional programming—have been automatically added to the member transcript. Certificates remain available at any time for download or documentation purposes.
This level of clarity and organization has provided individuals with a consistent method for managing licensure requirements, certification renewals, and professional development goals. Team Access extends these benefits to organizations, giving companies a structured and reliable system for tracking learning across their workforce.
Introducing Team Access
Team Access enables member companies to enroll multiple employees in Tilt-Up Academy under a single subscription and to view a consolidated record of course completions for their organization. Companies may designate a primary contact or training manager who will receive reporting access, making it possible to monitor participation, track certificates, and document compliance across departments or project teams.
Several subscription tiers accommodate varying organizational sizes, from small offices onboarding emerging leaders to large firms standardizing training across multiple divisions or regions. Regardless of scale, Team Access is designed to support consistent professional development within the industry.
A Continuously Expanding Library of Educational Content
Tilt-Up Academy continues to grow through both new event-based coursework and original film productions.
Courses from the 2025 Nashville Convention and Expo: The newest seminars added to the Academy come from the 2025 Tilt-Up Convention and Expo held in Nashville. These sessions include updated research, engineering perspectives, construction methodologies, case studies, and cross-disciplinary discussions reflecting the industry’s rapid evolution. As the Convention remains the largest annual gathering of tilt-up professionals, its educational content provides a vital foundation for the Academy’s ongoing growth.

Documentary-Style Educational Films: In addition to seminars, the Academy also features original documentary-style films that explore craftsmanship, innovation, and the artistry of the method. The most recent release, Beneath the Surface – The Art of Exposed Aggregate, premiered in May 2025 and examines the technical and aesthetic considerations behind exposed aggregate finishes. Produced with detailed on-site footage and interviews, the film offers a deeper look at materiality and process while highlighting the method’s expressive potential.
These films complement the Academy’s technical curriculum, offering broader cultural and design insight into tilt-up construction.
Advancing Professionalism Within the Method
Tilt-Up Academy—and now Team Access—reflect a larger objective within the Association: cultivating a knowledgeable, connected, and future-ready tilt-up workforce. As the method expands into new building types, higher levels of performance, and increasingly integrated project teams, structured learning becomes essential. Team Access supports this evolution by giving organizations a formal mechanism for onboarding, training, and documenting the continuing education of their employees.
By consolidating coursework, reporting, and certification records in one place, the Academy supports long-term professional development, reinforces quality, and enhances knowledge continuity across the industry.
Looking Ahead
The introduction of Team Access marks a major step forward in TCA’s educational ecosystem. As new seminars, research-based content, and documentary productions continue to be added, the Association will further expand the Academy’s role as a central resource for industry learning.
Tilt-Up Academy remains available to TCA members at the individual level, with organizational subscriptions now open for companies seeking to centralize their training and education programs. More information is available at tilt-up.org/academy.
